A Course in Miracles
Workbook Lesson 30
"God is in everything I see because God is in my mind."
Interpreted by Roberta Gallop
Daily Welcome: When I see you coming it reminds me of in the movies when people are coming together from a distance, and they run for each other with arms outspread for a big hug. It seems like a long time between when you leave and I see you again the next day. But when I see your smiling faces already to go again it makes the wait worth it. I enjoy your company, and I'm not just saying that cause I feel like I'm supposed to. My teacher knew what he was doing when he suggested I teach through a blog. You guys are awesome, and it motivates me to get up and write every day. This lesson brings with it a kinda V8 moment when you understand why God is in everything. Get out the red hats and purple boas as we make a fashion statement today playing hopscotch all the way down the road, my BFFs and me. Yyyyaaaaayyyyy.
Prayer: My beloved, thank you for being with us allways, and for teaching us it's not about trying to act perfect, or doing anything to find enlightenment, but simply to accept ourselves as you have made us. Please help us to have the patience and perseverance to push forward, especially when we start to lose our way and get resistant and think the Course is a bunch of bull. Please guide us to know love, and accept we are love regardless of what our programming tells us. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Workbook Lesson: "God is in everything I see because God is in my mind." God is in my mind so He can experience everything with me. So, as I stop resisting and trying to push things out of my mind and get to an acceptance of what it is. Going with the flow, and really asking for knowledge of God's will for me and power to carry it out, I am able in my mind to hear, sense and feel God's well. We work on joining to the energies we see instead of trying to separate ourselves from them. There is nothing outside of our minds at all, it is all a projection of our illusions that we see through the body's eyes. We have the thoughts, we make the images, we make the definitions, have the expectations, and tell the stories, layers and layers of them. This is where we start to recognize where we can connect to God's thoughts, and God's will.
Thinking it Over: When I was in early recovery, and I was doing the 3rd step, where I make a decision to turn my will and my life over to the care of God as we understand Him. I used to get all caught up in is it God's will and my will, and I decided that when things were going awesome it was God's will, but when things were going very very bad, then it was my will. From the Course I have come to understand that actually it is all God's will, every last little bit of it. How do you decide for you, the difference between when it is God's will and your will?
Tips & Tricks: I know as we get further into the lessons it can get a little bit strange about how the Course wants certain lessons done. Often, different times, and different lengths, and other times they will switch without much warning. But what I have learned is that each lesson and how it is applied all works together to release my disordered mind, and create a structured one, where I can connect to God. If you can, setting a timer has been found to be very useful in remembering when to do your lessons. So though the lessons seem to take on a life of their own, please do them anyway, as prescribed.
Upon Closing: That one was an eye-opener, but a slow eye-opener. I have so much joy running through my heart right now, for all of it. For you, the company, the lessons, and especially for realizing I am never alone, ever. Because God lives in our mind, we can all play, run, jump, swim, and be together. Have a blessed, cute, and yummy night and get plenty of rest, so we can go play again tomorrow. I enjoy you guys, soooo much. Love & Light, Riki 🌈
