This blog title, “Lights to Heaven,” shows the power in illuminating the way to remembering who we are, and witnesses to my belief in and devotion to "A Course in Miracles", and my dedication to teaching it and commitment to following it. The essays I am guided to share are unscripted, and my interpretation of the workbook lessons of ACIM are part of my curriculum in becoming a Certified Teacher of Teachers of ACIM. Please share, love, and enjoy the miracle.

A Course in Miracles Workbook Lesson 83

A Course in Miracles

Workbook Lesson 83

"Review of Lesson 65 – 66"

Interpreted by Roberta Gallop

Daily Welcome:  Hey determined and amazing students of the Course, once again we meet up to go forward in the most freeing and beautiful of ways. There is nothing like sticking together as we work on reaching oneness and letting go of separation. Today is "magical day", so let's get out our best magical gear and costumes and enjoy this bubbly and sparkly day as we poof on down the road. Big group hugs and so much love and gratitude for the compassion along the way.

Prayer: Loving Christ, I know on some level that I am you, because you thought me into existence, and that we are all one. But because of the level distortion I am having a hard time grasping the concept, even though I want to with all my heart. Please help me to understand. Blessed and Wholly Spirit, please guide us along the journey and please remove the confusion so we can feel the oneness of love and accept and know who we are. Dear God, as we get closer to you, take the last step so we may awaken and remember.

Workbook Lesson:  "Review of Lesson 65 – 66"

"My only function is the one God gave me." – It is so easy to get caught up in the world's yardstick and how things are supposed to be. We as humans can get pulled in so many directions with which script and which set of expectations and obligations we are supposed to follow, or risk the wrath of God's displeasure. So, this lesson brings a whole lot of relief with it. God has only given me one function, to be the light of the world. Now that sure is a relief as opposed to making gobs of money, being ravishingly beautiful (never happen), and being the best at everything. I just need to be the light I am and shine it to the best of my ability.

"My happiness and my function are one." – It's kinda funny that we all have the same function, to bring light to the world, but in what manner we do that is completely by God's design. So, I feel what this lesson is talking about is the way God shows us what our calling is, by filling our heart with joy the closer we get to doing what He would have us do.

Thinking it Over:  When I am doing the right thing to bring salvation to the world, I feel such a beautiful sense of wholeness and devotion and a deep and powerful love.  And it doesn't really matter what specifically what I am doing, like washing dishes, or getting water for someone, or anything else. It is more of that feeling of rightness as I am doing it. I have come to know my function as a light bearer, a holder of light. I know it sounds kinda lofty, but wherever I am I raise vibrations just by being there. What is your function? How does it show up for you?

Tips & Tricks: The biggest tip I can think of today is to just accept yourself wherever you are at the time. Taking the Course is a process of ordering the mind that is gonna take as long as it is gonna take. There are no shortcuts to enlightenment, the shortcut is in allowing the process to happen and have the faith that it will.  I can almost mark my time in the Course by my willingness to surrender, forgive, and let the process happen. I am still very capable of getting all twisted up, and confusion becomes the order of the day, so continuing to do the lessons as they are written one a day. And taking time to be with spirit in the morning, night and throughout the day, can help to keep me on track.

Upon Closing: We did it again, another lesson, another insight, more and more and more. I swear this path wouldn't be near as much fun without you. And just in case you were wondering, that hodgepodge of color was me in my "rainbow sprinkle fairy" outfit. Have an awesome day and a restful night and remember you matter in my life. Love & Light, Riki 🌈
